Frameworks

There are many different frameworks used when researching and designing. My preferred approach overlaps those traditionally used in Instructional Design (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and those used in User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) Research and Design.

Sharon Boller and Laura Fletcher at Innovation Training propose the approach Learning Experience Design (LXD). This approach combines the iterative process of UX/UI Design with the pedagogy of Instructional Design. The outcome is a philosophy that sees learning and user experience as a continuing journey rather than a one-time event.

Pedagogy

I am well versed in numerous pedagogical approaches, as well as the application of them in large lecture halls, small group classes, online (synchronous and asynchronous), and distance education. Below are a few of my personal favorites:
