This video explains the intricacies of calculating Hamilton's Rule, a key concept in behavioral ecology. It was included in an online course focused on human behavioral ecology and embedded in Canvas.
I build interactive pieces in HP5 that can be embedded into Canvas pages. Above is an example of "Drag the Words," used to help students review historical dates. I am comfortable with many of the options in HP5.
Weekly emails sent to introductory students that contained class items and college transition support. In addition to using the announcements system in Blackboard and Canvas, I can design in Constant Contact and MailChimp with ease.
This Canvas Syllabus page was modeled as a FAQ page. The Course Calendar was a downloadable Google Doc that students could use as a checklist for class items. The calendar directly correlated with the weekly module layout.
Larger projects can be scaffolded by smaller assignments. This helps assure student understanding throughout the process and creates space for early feedback. Above is a series of assignments that helped students create a podcast, which included in class activities (see slides).Â
